Up for bids is a pair of early production brass base, tipped RCA WD-12 amplifier/detector tubes.
RCA branded WD-12 tubes were actually made by Westinghouse for RCA.
These tube have early production, hand painted, lime getters, tight bases and the evacuation tips are perfect.
Neither tube has emission and are sold as display items only.
The WD-12 was electrically the same as the WD-11 but made with a larger UV (short pin base.  It was introduced in 1923 and discontinued in 1926.   It was officially replaced by the WX-12 (long pins, bakelite base) in 1925.
The WD-12 was designed for use in the Crosley "Pup", several Canadian one and two tube radios and in homebrew radio designs as well.
