Made by Raytheon & Sylvania.
Both TV-7 test @ NOS specs.
Up for bids is a pair of strong testing 6J5GT metal jacket base audio amplifier tubes.
The 6J5GT can be used as a detector or oscillator but most of the time this vintage triode is used as an audio amplifier.
Tube 1 pictured on the left is branded "FoMoCo" (Ford Motor Company) and was made by Sylvania.
Tube 2 on the right is branded for Truetone and was made by Raytheon.
They were tested for transconductance (Gm), noise, gas and shorts on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter for greater accuracy.
For the 6J5GT to be considered "new", a TV-7/U reading of 104 (Gm=2600*) is needed.
The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) for the 6J5GT is 50 (Gm=1250).*Data is from the RCA Receiviong Tube Manual.
