The GE 6U8A tube is a great sounding and
affordable
replacement
substitute
for a 7199 tube
(an example would be in a Dynaco ST70 ) however you would need
to purchase a 6U8A---->7199
plug and play converter adapter small tube socket which are sold on ebay for a little over each
and not included in this sale.

TESTING:
We use a Military TV-7 A/U upgraded to TV-7 D/U with Plate Current (mA) testing jacks as our tube test set.
Calibrated 8/16/2019 good for 10,000 hours of service until next calibration by by Bud Allen CG Industries of Florida.
A Minimum TV7 meter reading of the Pentode section of  57=1,425 Gm and Triode section 57=2,850
micromhos (Gm) transconductance is 60-65% reject point.
NOS 'Bogey' for a 6U8A tube running in a Class A1 Audio Amplifier for the tubes
Pentode section is 5,000-5,500 Gm @ 9.0mA plate current and
Triode section
is 7,000-7,500 Gm @ 13.5 mA Plate Current
given in the GE 6U8A technical engineering
data sheets above.
Calibrated TV7D/U tested  @ ~150Volts :
All Tubes tested NO Shorts,  No Gas, No Leakage
All tube pairs tested at NOS 'Bogey' specs or higher and closely matched as pairs
