9V Dying Battery Simulator For Guitar PedalsHi All,
I'm offering international shipping
for a limited time, to see how
things are going these days.
Shipping times are very long these days, they take about 8-10 weeks,
so if you can't - or don't have the patience to wait, please don't buy it.
Many musicians like the distinguish sound of a dirt guitar pedal - when powered by
a half-full or near "dead" 9V battery such as; Fuzz, distortion and over-drive.
Most similar products in the market are basically a serial potentiometer that limits the
current to the pedal – and acts like a voltage divider with the pedal.
The drawback of these designs is that the voltage going to the pedal, will vary according
to the current consumption, and will not be stable.
This design is a
transistor-based regulator
that will deliver stable voltage to the pedal at any given settings.
There is also a LED that will dim or lit brighter according to the voltage setting of the knob.
For convenience, the unit has a built-in output cable and an input jack - so no other cables are needed.
When operated from a 9VDC source, the output voltage can be set to the range of about 6–8.3VDC.
With a lower or higher voltage power source, the voltage will vary accordingly.
