Up for bids is a very nice identical matched pair of Tung-Sol, type 45, ST-style. black plate power triode audio amplifier tubes.
Both tubes are identical in appearance and construction.  They have box style black plates, large bottom foil getters, hanging filaments for low noise potential and a pair of centered, heavy duty plate support rods.  Both bases are tight and there are no loose particles inside either tube or base.
These Tung-Sol 45's were tested for transconductance (Gm), noise, gas, and shorts on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter that also measures plate current.
For a type 45 tube to be considered "new" a TV-7/U reading of 82 is needed (Gm=2050*).  The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) for the type 45 tube is 47 (Gm=1175).*Data is from the RCA Receiving Tube Manual.

From a Gm perspective, both tubes match within 2.5%.
From a plate current point of view, both tubes match withinm 1 mA (3.6%).
These tubes will ship in sturdy white tube cartons, double bubble wrapped and carefully packed to ensure safe delivery.
