Lalique France 10" Round Serving Bowl Art Deco Pattern in EXCELLENT pre owned condition!
FREE OF LARGE CHIPS AND CRACKS! There is one small chip on the inner rim of the bowl as shown, in addition to a few miniscule nicks on the sharp inner rim of the bowl. Absolutely no chips or nicks to the outer rim or anywhere else. Very few scratches are present considering age; these can be seen with the dark background so you have an idea of them.
Simply said, this bowl is STUNNING. Believed to be at least 70 years old based on provenance. This piece comes from a collection of very fine glass collected prior to the 1960's from a wealthy NJ estate. The piece is cut and decorated on the rim on what seems to be a very rare Lalique pattern. My research has failed to find a pattern that matches or other records of pieces in the same pattern. It features a repeating, art Deco decoration consisting of abstracts shapes and scallops/zigzags that create and unforgettable look.
The piece is shaped and sized appropriately to function as either a rim soup bowl, or a round serving bowl for your Lalique tabletop. It would also become your favorite centerpiece, as it is hard to get enough of seeing this beauty. Ownership of this is that of a one of a kind heirloom.
The piece measures 10 ⅝" diameter, 1 ⅞" tall.
