Provenance: From the estate of Anne Anka
    Anne Alison (de Zogheb) Anka
(October 2, 1942 - March 29, 2017) was born in Alexandria, Egypt with her twin sister. After moving to Europe in her teens, she was discovered by Paris Match Magazine and moved to New York City to pursue modeling under the watchful eye of Eileen Ford. In 1960, Anne met singer Paul Anka in Puerto Rico and they married in 1963, residing in New York City. During her time there, she became involved in the vibrant art scene as a collector. Leaving New York to accommodate Paul’s career, the Ankas continued to collect art during the years they lived in Nevada and California. When the couple divorced amicably after 39 years of marriage, they mutually agreed that Anne would keep the art collection and Paul would keep their house. Throughout the following years, Anne continued to collect, seeking out talented younger artists whose work spoke to her. Her great loves were art, languages, and her children and her grandchildren. She is survived by her five daughters, Alexandra, Amanda, Alicia, Anthea and Amelia and their respective spouses and children.
