with hot stamped bases.
1931 production.
Both TV-7 test @ NOS specs.
Up for bids is a very nice pair of NOS testing, globe style, type 71-A power triode amplifier tubes branded for Philco
.
Both tubes have hot stamped/engraved bases.  The
bases are tight with no loose particles inside either tube or base.
These Philco globe 71A's were tested for transconductance (Gm), noise, gas, and shorts on my Dan Nelson calibrated TV-7/U tube tester using a digital meter for greater accuracy.
For the 71A tube, a TV-7/U reading of 68 (Gm=1700*) is considered new.
*Data is from the RCA Receiving Tube Manual.
The TV-7/U minimum recommended value (65%) is 42 (Gm=1050).
