Metal Cast Co crawling with rifle. Newly cast from original Metal Cast moulds. Figure is solid cast. Painted in multiple coats of enamel paint. Figure number is 35A.
Metal Cast never sold figures, they only sold moulds. So all figures that are Metal Cast are made at home by people looking at the time to start a business in making of figures and vehicles. Metal cast started business in 1890’s and went out of business in 1953. The reason that Metal cast figures are rare is that the heavy bronze moulds were difficult too use. As they are the same type of moulds used by Barclay Manoil etc.
If you are new to collecting Dimestore figures and vehicles. You should pick up a copy of Richard O’Brien book on Dimestore figures. It will help you in identifying the figures you are collecting. They are no longer in print, but you can find a copy here on eBay. I’ve been collecting Dimestore figures and vehicles for 40 years.

Then that original figure is stripped of all its paint and cut apart. New parts are made of non-ferrous metals to reconfigure the figure. Making a brand new figure that’s never been made by the original company, such as Barclay, manoil Metal Cast, H B Toys. Making each one of my conversions unique and one-of-a-kind. So your getting a prototype so to speak

I sometimes use solid Cast figures but if that’s the case, it will be stated in the listing. I also use Die cast vehicles for some of my larger conversions. The figures and Vehicles are striped of all paint and reconfigured to what ever I’m working on the new parts are hand crafted and soldered on to the figure, making them a permanent part of the figure or vehicle. All of my conversions are primed and painted with multiple coats of enamel paint. Which I mix myself to get the right color. I use very little glue or epoxy in the making of my conversions.
