Pair Match 1947 Date Tight Gm Match NOS Tung-Sol Type 47 Amplifier Tubes (681)

Description

Pair of new old stock Tung-Sol Type 47 power amplifier pentode tubes in original/appropriate boxes. Presumed new old stock. Matched 1947 production/warranty date code of “322713”. Tested on TV-7D/U military mutual conductance (Gm) tube tester that was calibrated and upgraded by Mr. Dan Nelson. Plate current under test was also measured. Where a Gm of 1,250 is a good test, these tested in the upper Gm range for a new old stock tube at 2,312 and 2,368 (2.3% match) with a matched plate current of 24.0 and 24.0 milliamps.
Note that Tung-Sol boxes generally don’t age well compared to other brands but these are in excellent shape – especially considering they’re over 70 years old. Test results are provided on a paper test report enclosed with the tubes.
