These are replicas (copies) of the first small size 0 and 00 bills issued in 1929. Until 1933, they were actually redeemable in gold coins as noted in the clause above the Federal Reserve seal. The 0 note features the portrait of William McKinley, the 25th President who was assassinated in 1901.
The 00 note bears the portrait of Grover Cleveland who was the 22nd and 24th President of the United States. 00 Bills are no longer in circulation. The US Treasury Department began to withdraw large denomination notes from circulation in 1969 and none have been printed since 1945.
These are replicas of actual bills, not copies of 2nd hand scans, printed on high quality 100% cotton paper. They are ideal for framing as you can display both sides at the same time. Each side is printed on a
separate
sheet per eBay policy and to comply with Federal law,
LARGER
(1.5X) than the actual note.
They are not the same size, please do not expect that they be double sided and the same size as a real bill. That is illegal and it is illegal to sell counterfeits. What you see in the picture is what you get.
