SAE 30mm Set #150 George Washington 1776 with Aides

Holger Eriksson created this pose of George Washington originally in a 54mm figure for his own collection.  But it wasn't George.  It was one of the Kings of Sweden Gustavus III.  That portrait became George Washington when it was sold to S.A.E., again in 54mm scale and in two versions, one with base and one without a base.  Then later, he was commissioned by S.A.E. to create a Washington on a walking horse in 30mm scale -- the figure in this box.  S.A.E. sold a number of Washington green-boxed sets, some with the officers seen in this offering and some wearing the uniforms of other Regiments and even a French Uniform.  These two appear to wear the uniform of the Continental Regiment.  S.A.E.'s rendition of Gen. Washington with a leopard-skin blanket under his saddle probably made the old gentleman spin in his Mt. Vernon tomb.  Please see the photos as best evidence of condition.  These are made of lead and are not for children to play with.
