VINTAGE MEN'S ROBE SMOKING JACKET - DuMont 5TH Avenue BLACK 1940's
Amalgamated Union Label
Hand Made:
DuMont 5th Avenue.
Union Made
Black with Rust Lining.
Tags hidden within the pockets.
Appears to have been completely Hand-Sewn
* photo #12 shows either an ash burn or hole
Belonged to my Uncle.
I cannot date this but using the Union Tag I was able to guesstimate late 40's early 50's.  If you disagree please let me know via message.  Edit to add:  a historian friend tracked down another similar from 1945.
Other than the "burn" - the smoking jacket is in very nice condition.
Hard to photograph the stitching inside shoulders there is a pad and it makes the fabric bunch when I turned it inside out.
